Vista / Windows 7 Virtual Store Folder

If Remote Control Manager is installed on a Windows 7 system and virtualization is enabled you may find that a copy of the Remote Control Manager folder gets copied to "C:\Users\Carl\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files\"
On some systems the clients.mdb file gets copied into the C:\Users\...VirtualStore\Program Files\Remote Control Manager folder.

A problem can arise where the RCM DSN points to C:\Program Files\Remote Control Manager\clients.mdb but the clients.mdb file in the C:\Users\...VirtualStore\Program Files\Remote Control Manager\clients.mdb is the one that is used.

To determine if the clients.mdb in the C:\Users\...VirtualStore\Program Files\Remote Control Manager is the database being used rename the clients.mdb file in C:\Program Files\Remote Control Manager and run RCM as normal.  If you login OK then the wrong mdb file is in use.
To workaround this issue move the clients.mdb file into a shared folder and repoint your RCM DSN at the new location.

Microsoft's suggestion can be found in http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927387

Below is a screen shot using Sysinternals Process Monitor that shows the problem.
